Knowing when to stop!

I have this ‘thing‘ when I’m creating a page or project whereby I go through stages and stages of loving it, then hating it, then thinking it’s okay, then hating it again, then loving it again and then thinking “ooooh I’ll just do this one last thing to it” Often that one last thing, is the most important and either makes it or kills it! But I just can’t resist taken it that one step further.

Here is a perfect example of this..a scrapbook page which I worked on Sunday evening, then when I came to post it yesterday I thought it needs a little more…something else……. so I fiddled some more and added bits to it and now I am totally and utterly confused which I prefer!

So, i’ve decided I’ll let you decide!!! I’d love to know which you prefer…the original here…..or the ramped up version below….

Taking it up a gear……….

What a week!!

Wow!!! What a busy, busy week!!! I have been very lucky to have been involved with working behind the scenes on some GREAT projects going on at UKScrappers. Simple Recipes, a monthly scrapbook challenge and the UKS Art Journey.

On Tuesday, the Simple Recipe I devised for the month of February was launched, which you can find here. Below, is one of my example pages for the class.

Oooh and ^^^ THAT ^^^ background paper…couple people have asked where I got it from and I am so excited
to have been asked because its mine….alllllll mine!!! Lol, that’s because it my baby….part of a collection I have designed which you should be able to buy very soon….as soon as you can I will certainly be posting more details here 🙂 Exciting times!! Gee…did I ever say how much I LOVE my job?!? Such a lucky, lucky girl.

And today, the PDF I devised on doodling has been uploaded as this weeks Art Journey 🙂 Hence the pictures of art journal pages in this post! These are one’s that I have created and used as example’s! Can’t wait to see what you guys make! Link me up to your blogs, I’d LOVE to see,

Those that don’t believe in the magic will never find it…

…and this is the layout for one little boy who searches and finds a little of that magic day in, day out.

I created this layout based on the criteria for the January Week 2 Team Challenge on UKScrappers. For this challenge, we had to ensure we used ‘Something New’, ‘Something Old’ and ‘Bling’. My ‘Something Old’ was the doilie, lace, sizzix die (heart frame), music paper, patterned paper and letter stamps. My ‘Something New’ was the technique I used to create my organza flower. Although I have admired these flowers for a long time I have never actually dug out a candle and used this technique myself…but I love the flower I created and will certainly be making many more.

I fulfilled the ‘Bling’ element by putting diamantes in the centre of the flower and by adding diamante accents to the hearts.

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday 136

quote

Lots of things on my desk this morning, but I thought I share with you this sneak of a scrapbook page I am creating 🙂 I have cut up some of my favorite papers and sewn them into a little patchwork scrapbook page! A while back I’d found an amazing quote on Pinterest, “You are You, that is truer than true, there is noone else more you’er than you!”, which I really wanted to use and had the *crazy* idea to use different letter stickers to create it!!! It took me so long!! But hopefully I will make a fabulous page to make all the tweezer pinching worth while!

Make sure you pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground to see whats on lots of other workdesks this Wednesday.
