'the life of a textile and surface pattern designer'

Two posts in a day…I must be mad…or just the signs of a very productive day! So today, I returned to my Scrapbooking roots and I must admit I really enjoyed myself! It’s practically 9pm here and I’ve been working all day, but it’s still full steam ahead! Here is a little sneak peak of something I have been working on….

Anyone that knows my sketchbooks, knows they are crammed full of masking tape and I couldn’t resist using some again today…only this time digitally! Just look at this cute digital masking tape I created…. so many possibilities….this is love!

Can’t wait to show you more soon!

Since getting back from holiday……did I tell you I went to Egypt?!!…..

Am.az.ing place…..

this last week or two has really been about chucking myself back in and getting all inspired once again!

And trust me, been blessed to work within such a creative field, this is so damn easy!

I remember around Christmas I posted a video…..something I’m planning to do some more off ūüėČ …

on what inspires me…. and you know what, I’d almost forgotten all about Pinterest!!

I gotta admit I love, love, love, love, love….what more can I say?!!!

I tried to to keep away from Pinterest due to the concerns and issues I kept reading people have surrounding the use of this site,

but I just happened to land upon it again within the last couple of weeks and I can’t believe I kept away for so long!!

For me, it’s like window shopping, passing by sooooooo many shops looking at what they have to offer before going in….

it just offers me so much goodness and inspiration all in one hit.

I could literally spend hours and hours looking through all the beautiful, creative pictures and reading the very wise quotes.

It allows me to find places that I never knew existed, little treasures that I couldn’t even ever imagine trying to look for.

Are you on Pinterest? If you are, hook me up…I’d love to follow your boards and see what inspires you!

Family bloghop

I am so excited to be joining in with the lovely Margies family bloghop this month. Margie has been running this fantastic bloghop for a few months now and I have admired it from afar,¬† as I absolutely love the idea and look who’s taking part this month….MOI!¬† Thankyou so much Margie for having me and a big welcome to all you new readers!!! Just one thing you need to know about me…I love to talk ….so comments totally *make* my day and I am a BIG fan of twitter so follow mee!

The idea behind the bloghop is to post a picture of YOU with your family, as typically us scrapbookers are the one’s taking the pictures and are always missed out the shot!

So, after what was probably close to a million attempts, here is ours! This was one that I was determined to nail using the self timer on my camera inspired by the shots Karen Russell often shows on her blog….she has the most PERFECT knack of capturing¬† everyday shots.

You wouldn’t believe how many shots it took to get to this and it is still far from perfect!!

Here is the complete listing of all the others taking part in todays hop, if you haven’t already then you must pay them a visit…they have some wonderful photos and I am already feeling inspired for next months picture!
